Notice on Holding a Forum on Integrating the Spirit of the 20th National Congress of the CPC into Ideological and Political Courses in Universities
Respectable Experts and Scholars:
The year 2022 is one of landmark significance. To celebrate the successful convening of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), to deeply study, publicize, implement, and realize the spirit of the 20th National Congress, and to promptly promote the entry of the Party's latest theoretical innovations into textbooks, into classrooms, and into the minds of students [1], the Institute of Marxism Studies of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), Fuzhou University, and the Fuzhou University Base of the Fujian Provincial Center for the Study of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era intend to jointly host the "Forum on Integrating the Spirit of the 20th National Congress of the CPC into University Ideological and Political Theory Courses" on November 20, 2022 (Sunday). Combined through online and offline formats, this forum follows the principle of "entry based on paper submission." We welcome all experts and scholars to attend and generously contribute their manuscripts. The relevant matters are notified as follows:
I. Forum Organization
- Hosting Units: Institute of Marxism Studies of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Fuzhou University, Fuzhou University Base of the Fujian Provincial Center for the Study of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.
- Organizing Units: Department of Sinicization of Marxism Research at the Institute of Marxism Studies of CASS, School of Marxism at the University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, School of Marxism at Fuzhou University.
- Co-organizing Units: Editorial Department of Marxism Studies (Makesizhuyi Yanjiu), Frontline (Qianxian) Magazine of the Beijing Municipal Committee of the CPC, the Fuzhou University Cluster of the "1+N" Marxism School Construction Pilot Program, and the Fujian Provincial Department of Finance special project group "Research on Integrating Excellent Regional Culture into University Ideological and Political Education."
II. Participants Experts and scholars engaged in research and teaching in this field from universities and scientific research institutes across the country.
III. Time and Location
- Forum Schedule: Registration from 14:00-21:30 on November 19; full-day conference on the 20th; departure on the 21st.
- Meeting Format: A combination of online and offline participation according to epidemic prevention and control requirements.
- Offline Venues: Beijing: Institute of Marxism Studies, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences; Fuzhou: Zhonghai Kylin Hotel.
- Registration Point for Participants from outside Fuzhou: Zhonghai Kylin Hotel Fuzhou (No. 1-1 Gaoxin Avenue, Gaoxin District, Fuzhou City, Fujian Province).
IV. Forum Expenses No conference fee will be charged. Participants are responsible for their own round-trip transportation and accommodation costs.
V. Themes and Selected Topics
- Theme: Integrating the Spirit of the 20th National Congress of the CPC into University Ideological and Political Theory Courses.
- Papers include, but are not limited to, the following topics: (1) New viewpoints, new assertions, new ideas, and new requirements proposed by the 20th National Congress of the CPC. (2) The spirit of the 20th National Congress of the CPC and the construction of the discipline of Marxist theory. (3) The spirit of the 20th National Congress of the CPC and the construction of Schools of Marxism. (4) The important guidance [2] provided by the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the CPC for the construction of university ideological and political theory courses. (5) Approaches and concepts for integrating the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the CPC into university ideological and political theory courses. (6) Methods and case studies for integrating the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the CPC into university ideological and political theory courses. (7) Using the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the CPC as guidance to promote exploration in upholding the fundamentals and breaking new ground in university ideological and political theory courses. (8) The theoretical, historical, and practical logic and the innovative pathways of integrating excellent regional culture into university ideological and political theory courses.
VI. Submission Requirements
- Interested participants should send the registration confirmation form and the full paper (at least 6,000 words) or paper abstract (approximately 1,500 words) in WORD document format to the conference organizing committee email (1305138860@QQ.COM, attn: Mr./Ms. Ding) before November 9. Both the email subject and the file should be named "Name + Institution + Paper Title." After expert review, the committee will send official invitations via email to the authors of selected papers by November 11. Each paper is limited to one invited author.
- Papers should have a clear theme, correct viewpoints, and lucid argumentation, reflecting academic rigor and innovation, with high theoretical and practical value.
- For specific article styles and citation formats, please refer to the journal Marxism Studies. A brief author biography and detailed contact information should be attached before the main text.
