Call for Papers for the 2022 National Academic Symposium on Ideological and Political Education
To thoroughly implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the CPC, systematically research and interpret Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, cast the soul and nurture the person [1] with Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and promote the innovative development of ideological and political education in the New Era through the Party’s theoretical innovations and summary of experiences, the “2022 National Academic Symposium on Ideological and Political Education” is scheduled to be held in Nanchang from December 10 to 11, 2022. The conference is jointly hosted by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) Institute of Marxism Studies and Jiangxi Normal University, and co-organized by the Department of Sinicization of Marxism Research at the CASS Institute of Marxism Studies and the School of Marxism at Jiangxi Normal University. Studies on Marxism (马克思主义研究), Journal of Ideological & Theoretical Education (思想理论教育导刊), and the Journal of Jiangxi Normal University (Philosophy and Social Sciences Edition) are contributing as co-sponsors. Teaching and research personnel from national research institutions, institutions of higher education, and Party and government departments are cordially invited to submit papers.

III. Conference Time and Location
- Conference Time: Registration on December 9, 2022 (Friday); conference sessions from December 10–11 (Saturday and Sunday); departure on December 12 (Monday); (tentative).
- Conference Location: Nanchang (tentative).
IV. Methods of Participation
- Participation is based on paper submission. Experts and scholars are requested to write papers centered on the conference theme and topics. Paper requirements are as follows: (1) Guided by Marxism, with a clear theme, reflecting academic rigor and innovation; (2) An abstract (approx. 400 words), keywords (3–5), author biography (name, gender, affiliation, professional title, position), and detailed contact information (address, telephone, email) must be attached before the main text; (3) The main text should follow the submission style of Studies on Marxism; (4) Word count should be approximately 8,000 words, requiring standardized citations and accurate quotations.
- Please send conference papers as Word documents to the conference email: mkszyxy0701@163.com. The file should be named “Name + Affiliation + Paper Title.” The deadline for submission is November 31, 2022.
- The organizing committee will issue formal invitations to authors of selected papers. A collection of papers, Series on Ideological and Political Education Research (Vol. 12), will be formally published after the conference, and outstanding papers will be recommended for publication in important journals such as Studies on Marxism.
