Call for Papers: The 10th Chinese Academy of Social Sciences Mao Zedong Thought Forum
To commemorate the 130th anniversary of the birth of Comrade Mao Zedong, to further deepen the study of Mao Zedong Thought, and to vigorously advance the Sinicization and modernization of Marxism, the 10th Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) Mao Zedong Thought Forum is scheduled to be held from May 19 to 21, 2023, in Xiangtan, Hunan Province—the hometown of the great man [1]. The forum is co-hosted by the Institute of Marxism Studies of CASS and Hunan University of Science and Technology (HNUST). It is organized by the Department of Studies on the Sinicization of Marxism within the Institute of Marxism Studies (CASS) and the School of Marxism at HNUST. Co-organizers include the editorial departments of Marxism Studies (Makesizhuyi Yanjiu), Information Center for Social Sciences of RUC: Mao Zedong Thought (Fuyin Baokan Ziliao: Mao Zedong Sixiang), Studies on Mao Zedong and Deng Xiaoping Theories (Mao Zedong Deng Xiaoping Lilun Yanjiu), Journal of Mao Zedong Thought Studies (Mao Zedong Sixiang Yanjiu), and Mao Zedong Studies (Mao Zedong Yanjiu). The theme of the forum is "Mao Zedong Thought and Chinese-path Modernization."
The CASS Mao Zedong Thought Forum is one of the series of forums under the CASS Project for Marxist Theoretical Discipline Construction and Theoretical Research. As an authoritative forum in the field of Mao Zedong Thought research, it aims to strengthen exchanges among scholars nationwide and advance the in-depth development of research in this field. Established in 2014 and held annually, it has become one of the most influential national forums in the study of Mao Zedong Thought.
We cordially invite experts, scholars, teachers, and students in relevant research fields across the country to participate by submitting papers. Please actively compose and submit articles centered on the forum theme.

IV. Paper Submissions Submissions must be guided by Marxism-Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought, Deng Xiaoping Theory, the Theory of "Three Represents," the Scientific Outlook on Development, and Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. Papers should closely integrate the study and implementation of the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress and the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech delivered on February 7 this year at the opening ceremony of the seminar for newly elected members and alternate members of the Central Committee [4]. Submissions should demonstrate depth of thought, contemporary relevance, and innovation.
Interested experts, scholars, teachers, and students are requested to complete their papers as soon as possible and send them to 11906156@qq.com by April 25, 2023. Papers must be original, unpublished research that adheres to the correct political direction and academic orientation while meeting academic standards. Papers should generally not exceed 10,000 characters (including notes) and must include 3–5 keywords and an abstract of approximately 300 characters. Citations and historical data must be accurate and rigorous with sources clearly cited (please refer to Marxism Studies for formatting). Submissions must be marked with "Conference Paper Submission" (会议征文) and include a brief author biography, email address, and contact phone number at the end.
The conference organizing committee will form a paper review committee of relevant experts to select submissions. Official invitation letters will be sent by May 4 to those whose papers have been selected through the review process.

V. Other Matters There is no registration fee for the conference. Participants are responsible for their own transportation and accommodation costs. The organizers will cover meal expenses during the conference.
