Great News: International Review of Thought Rated as a Core Foreign Language Journal of Chinese Humanities and Social Sciences

According to the "Comprehensive Evaluation Report on Chinese Humanities and Social Sciences Journals (AMI) (2022)" recently released by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences Evaluation Studies (CASSES), the English quarterly International Critical Thought (ISSN: 2159-8282, EISSN: 2159-8312) has been designated as a "Core Foreign Language Journal" in the 2022 AMI Comprehensive Evaluation.

Based on the report, CASSES evaluated 148 foreign-language journals in the humanities and social sciences hosted within China (including 51 journals with a CN number [1] and 97 journals with only an ISSN number). Among the 97 foreign-language journals possessing only an ISSN number, a total of 10 were selected as core journals. International Critical Thought was included in this selection and stands as the only foreign-language core journal identified within the primary discipline [2] of Marxist Theory. It is reported that International Critical Thought is also the only journal dedicated to the primary discipline of Marxist Theory among all 148 foreign-language humanities and social science journals hosted in China.

The English quarterly International Critical Thought is supervised by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) and co-sponsored by the CASS Academy of Marxism and the CASS Marxist Studies Division. Founded in March 2011, it is published and distributed globally by Routledge, under the Taylor & Francis Group. Currently, the journal has been indexed in the international Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI, a Web of Science edition), Scopus, Index Copernicus International (ICI), ANVUR, and OCLC, as well as the domestic AMI Comprehensive Evaluation of Chinese Humanities and Social Science Journals as a Core Foreign Language Journal. It has attained high visibility and a strong academic reputation within the global Marxist and left-wing academic communities, exerting broad scholarly influence worldwide.
