Call for Papers: Inauguration Ceremony and First Symposium of the Committee for Contemporary World Culture and Civilization Studies of the Chinese Society for Historical Materialism

In order to study and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the CPC [1], leverage the advantages and role of the Chinese Society of Historical Materialism, consolidate the wisdom and strength of the academic community, and apply the worldview and methodology of historical materialism, we seek to strengthen the study of contemporary Chinese and global culture and civilization. Our goal is to deepen the exchange and mutual learning between cultures and civilizations, promote the effective global outreach of Chinese culture, and enhance the influence of Chinese civilization. This initiative aims to better understand and grasp theoretical issues such as the compatibility between the fine traditional Chinese culture and the values of scientific socialism, as well as the creation of a new form of human civilization [2] through Chinese-path modernization. The Chinese Society of Historical Materialism has decided to establish the Professional Committee for the Study of Contemporary World Culture and Civilization. The inauguration ceremony is scheduled for June of this year, and the first symposium will be co-hosted with Beijing International Studies University (BISU) and the Contemporary World journal office. We sincerely welcome experts and scholars in relevant research fields to join the Professional Committee and actively participate in the Society's activities.
