Call for Papers: 2023 National Symposium on Ideological and Political Education
To thoroughly implement and carry out the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Party, systematically study and interpret Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, forge the soul and cultivate people [1] with Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and promote the high-quality development of ideological and political education on the "new journey of the new era" [2] through the Party's theoretical innovations and summarization of experience, the "2023 National Academic Symposium on Ideological and Political Education" is scheduled to be held in Chongqing on October 21, 2023. The conference is jointly organized by the Institute of Marxism Studies at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) and Southwest University, and co-hosted by the Department of Marxism Sinicization Research at the Institute of Marxism Studies (CASS) and the School of Marxism at Southwest University. We cordially invite teaching and research personnel from national research institutions, institutions of higher education, Party and government departments, and other units to actively submit contributions.

III. Conference Time and Location
- Conference Time: Registration on October 20, 2023 (Friday); Conference on October 21, 2023 (Saturday); Departure on October 22, 2023 (Sunday).
- Conference Location: Southwest University (No. 2 Tiansheng Road, Beibei District, Chongqing).
IV. Participation Methods
- Participation is based on paper submission. Experts and scholars are requested to write papers centered on the conference theme and topics. Paper requirements are as follows: (1) Guided by Marxism, with a clear theme, reflecting academic rigor and innovation; (2) A summary (approx. 400 words), keywords (3-5), author profile (name, gender, work unit, professional title, position), and detailed contact information (address, telephone, email) must be attached before the main text; (3) For the main text, please refer to the submission style of Marxism Studies (Makesizhuyi Yanjiu); (4) Word count should be approximately 8,000 words, requiring standardized citations and accurate quotations.
- Please send the conference paper in Word document format to the conference email: qgsxzzjy2023@126.com. The file should be named "Name + Unit + Paper Title." The submission deadline is September 15, 2023.
- The organizing committee will issue official participation invitations to selected authors. After the meeting, the proceedings Collected Essays on Ideological and Political Education Research (Vol. 13) will be officially published, and outstanding papers will be recommended for publication in important journals such as Marxism Studies.
