Notice on the Postponement of the 10th Chinese Academy of Social Sciences Forum on Mao Zedong Thought

Upon deliberation, it has been decided that the 10th Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) Mao Zedong Thought Forum, originally scheduled to be held from November 3 to 5, 2023, in Xiangtan, Hunan—the hometown of the Great Man ^[1]—has been postponed to January 5 to 7, 2024. Accordingly, the deadline for call-for-papers has been extended; please send your papers to the email address 11906156@qq.com by December 5, 2023.

The forum is jointly hosted by the Institute of Marxism Studies at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Hunan University of Science and Technology. It is organized by the Department of Sinicization of Marxism Research (马克思主义中国化研究部) at the CASS Institute of Marxism Studies and the School of Marxism at Hunan University of Science and Technology. Co-organizing the event are the editorial boards of Marxism Studies (《马克思主义研究》), Information Center for Social Sciences - Mao Zedong Thought (《复印报刊资料·毛泽东思想》), Mao Zedong and Deng Xiaoping Theory Research (《毛泽东邓小平理论研究》), Mao Zedong Thought Research (《毛泽东思想研究》), and Mao Zedong Studies (《毛泽东研究》). The theme of the forum is "Mao Zedong Thought and the Comprehensive Building of a Modern Socialist Country."

The CASS Mao Zedong Thought Forum is one of the series of forums under the Research and Construction Project of the Discipline of Marxist Theory at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. It is an authoritative forum in the field of Mao Zedong Thought research, aimed at strengthening exchanges among scholars across the country and advancing the in-depth development of studies in this area. Established in 2014 and held annually, it has become one of the most influential national forums in the field of Mao Zedong Thought research.

We cordially invite experts, scholars, teachers, and students in this research field within China to participate by submitting papers; we encourage everyone to actively write and contribute works centered on the forum's theme.
