Delegation of the Revolution for Prosperity Party of Lesotho visits the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences

Reported by China Social Sciences Net (Reporter: Wang Chunyan) – On February 1, a delegation led by Nthati Moorosi, Secretary-General of the Revolution for Prosperity (RFP) of Lesotho and Minister of Communications, Science, Technology, and Innovation, visited the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS). Xin Xiangyang, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the Institute of Marxism Studies at CASS, sent a written report which was read on his behalf by Deputy Director Lin Jianhua.

In the written report titled "The Blueprint of Chinese-path Modernization and a Community with a Shared Future for Humanity," Xin Xiangyang stated that Chinese-path modernization is a vital component of world modernization; in answering a series of difficult problems regarding modernization faced by humanity, it promotes the construction of a community with a shared future for humanity. The goals of Chinese-path modernization for 2050 [1] possess world-historical significance. It is a path toward a strong socialist power, a path that promotes the vigorous development of world Marxism, and a path that redraws the map of global modernization. The goals of Chinese-path modernization for 2035 [2] are resolving a series of world-class challenges, specifically debunking the "Huntington Paradox" [3]—the claim that "modernity implies stability, while modernization implies instability." Chinese-path modernization has created a new market civilization for humanity. This is a market civilization that can both allow the market to play a decisive role in resource allocation and better leverage the role of the government. Furthermore, Chinese-path modernization has created a new industrial civilization for humanity. China's new industrial civilization is reflected in: significantly improving the lives of people worldwide with high-quality and reasonably priced industrial products; and avoiding being "locked-in" [4] or restricted through an independent industrial system, thereby evading the trap of dependency.

Dai Lixing, a researcher at the Institute of Marxism Studies of CASS, introduced General Secretary Xi Jinping’s Important Thought on Party Building. He argued that since the 18th National Congress [5] of the CPC, the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core has attached great importance to Party building, forming Xi Jinping’s Important Thought on Party Building. This important thought is a scientific, complete, and organically unified theoretical system characterized by distinct epochal, practical, and open qualities. As the practice of Party building in the New Era continues to advance, our Party will inevitably continue to expand new horizons, propose new propositions, make new judgments, and form new summaries regarding its own construction. Consequently, this important thought will become even richer and more complete, guiding Party building toward continuous new achievements. This will ensure our Party is built into a vibrant Marxist governing party that always stands at the forefront of the times, enjoys the heartfelt support of the people, has the courage to engage in self-revolution, and can withstand the test of all manner of storms.

Nthati Moorosi briefly introduced the relevant situation of the Revolution for Prosperity of Lesotho, stating that they will continue to study in depth Xi Jinping’s Important Thought on Party Building, Chinese-path modernization, and the concept of a community with a shared future for humanity. She expressed hope that both sides would engage in deeper exchange and cooperation in the future.

Relevant personnel from the International Department of the CPC Central Committee and the Embassy of Lesotho in China attended the meeting.
