Call for Papers: The 16th National Forum for Deans of Marxist Schools
In order to deeply study and implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee [1], to deepen the understanding of further comprehensively deepening reform and advancing Chinese-path modernization, and to guide the great practice of Chinese-path modernization with Sinicized and modernized Marxism, the 16th National Forum for Deans of Marxist Foundations is scheduled to be held in early December 2024 at the University of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. The theme of the forum is "Further Comprehensively Deepening Reform and Chinese-path Modernization."
This forum will focus closely on the conference theme and emphasize the following topics for discussion:
- Research on the worldview and methodology of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.
- The Sinicization and modernization of Marxism and Chinese-path modernization.
- The Communist Party of China and Chinese-path modernization.
- Upholding the fundamentals and breaking new ground and further comprehensively deepening reform.
- Institutional building and further comprehensively deepening reform.
- The new development pattern [2] and high-quality development.
- Constructing a high-level socialist market economy system.
- The modernization of the national governance system and governance capacity.
- Whole-process people's democracy and Chinese-path modernization.
- The construction of a strong socialist cultural power.
- The construction of socialist spiritual civilization [3] and Chinese-path modernization.
- New quality productive forces and modernization featuring harmony between humanity and nature.
- The "Two Combinations" [4] and Chinese-path modernization.
- Overseas research regarding Chinese-path modernization.
We hereby cordially invite teaching and research personnel from national research institutions, institutions of higher education, and Party and government departments to actively submit manuscripts. Manuscript requirements:
- Correct political stance, distinct theme, rigorous logic, and a combination of history and theory [5], reflecting academic rigor and innovation with high theoretical and practical value.
- Papers must be original works that have not yet been published, with a word count of no less than 8,000 characters. The main text should be preceded by an abstract (approximately 500 characters), keywords (3-5), an author profile, and detailed contact information.
This forum adopts the "admission via paper" [6] method. The deadline for paper submissions is November 1, 2024. Please send electronic versions of papers in Word document format to the email: mnsh2019@163.com (Contact: Teacher Yang, Institute of Marxism Studies, CASS). After selection by the expert review committee, conference invitations will be sent to selected participants no later than the end of November. The conference will select excellent papers for collective publication and recommend them for publication in Marxist Studies (Marxisim Yanjiu).
