Call for Papers: 2024 Annual Conference of the New Collective Economy Research Branch of the Chinese Society of Political Economy & The 3rd Rural Revitalization Forum

The Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee [1] proposed the development of the new-type rural collective economy, emphasizing the integrated coordination of new-type industrialization, new-type urbanization, and the comprehensive revitalization of the countryside to promote the common prosperity and development of urban and rural areas. In order to deeply study and implement the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, the New-type Collective Economy Research Branch of the China Society of Political Economy (CSPE) intends to organize and convene its 2024 Annual Meeting and the 3rd Rural Revitalization Forum on December 21, 2024.

The conference is hosted by the New-type Collective Economy Research Branch of the China Society of Political Economy. It is organized by the Research Department of the Theoretical System of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics and the Research Department of Marxist Political Economy of the Institute of Marxism Studies at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS); and the Research Department of Political Economy and the Research Department of Das Kapital of the Institute of Economics at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. Co-organizers include Marxism Studies (Makesizhuyi yanjiu), World Socialism Studies (Shijie shehuizhuyi yanjiu), Political Economy Studies (Zhengzhi jingjixue yanjiu), Observation and Reflection (Guancha yu sikao), Journal of University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (Zhongguo shehuikexueyuan daxue xuebao), World Review of Political Economy, and the Marxism Studies website. We sincerely invite teaching and research personnel from national research institutions, institutions of higher education, Party and government departments, and other units to actively submit papers and attend. The relevant matters of the conference are notified as follows:

III. Conference Topics

  1. Research on General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important expositions regarding ideology.
  2. Issues related to the construction of socialist ideology.
  3. Agricultural and rural modernization and Chinese-path modernization.
  4. Research on theoretical and practical issues of the new-type rural collective economy.
  5. The relationship between rural primary-level Party building [2] and rural revitalization.
  6. Collectivist education and the strengthening of the construction of rural spiritual civilization [3].

IV. Time, Location, and Other Matters Conference Time: December 20–22, 2024 (Registration on December 20, meeting on December 21, departure on December 22). Conference Location: Institute of Economics, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. Participation Method: The conference adopts the method of "participation via paper submission." Experts and scholars are requested to write papers centering on the conference theme and topics. Submitted papers must be original, unpublished scientific research results that conform to academic norms, preferably within 12,000 characters, with correct political orientation, objective and accurate historical facts, and high academic and theoretical value. For paper style and formatting, please refer to the submission format of Marxism Studies. Please attach specific contact information at the end of the text, including the author's name, work unit, position/title, telephone number, email, and mailing address. Participants are requested to send their papers to haihongpeng@sohu.com before December 15; please indicate the email subject as: "2024 Annual Meeting of the New-type Collective Economy Research Branch."

V. Related Expenses This conference does not charge any fees. Transportation, food, and accommodation expenses during the conference shall be borne by the participants themselves.
