Call for Papers: 2025 National Symposium on Ideological and Political Education

In order to study and implement the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the National Education Conference, implement the "Outline of the National Plan for Building a Powerful Country in Education (2024–2035)," deepen research on the leading power [1] of ideological and political education in the New Era, and enhance the academic research standards and talent cultivation quality of ideological and political education, the "2025 National Academic Symposium on Ideological and Political Education" is scheduled to be held at Fujian Normal University from May 24 to 26, 2025. The conference is jointly organized by the Institute of Marxism Studies of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) and Fujian Normal University, and co-sponsored by the Department of Sinicization of Marxism Studies of the Institute of Marxism Studies (CASS) and the School of Marxism at Fujian Normal University. The conference will adopt the "paper-based invitation" format [2], and we sincerely invite teaching and research personnel from scientific research institutions and higher education institutions across the country to actively participate.

III. Main Topics

  1. Research on General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important expositions on ideological and political education.
  2. Research on the leading power of socialist ideology in higher education institutions.
  3. Research on related issues regarding the leading power of ideological and political education.
  4. Research on constructing an autonomous knowledge system [3] for the discipline of ideological and political education.
  5. Research on the basic theories of ideological and political education in the digital age.
  6. Research on the fundamental issues of socialist spiritual civilization construction [4].
  7. Research on the "Two Combinations" [5] and ideological and political education.
  8. Research on cultivating and practicing Socialist Core Values.
  9. Research on the spiritual lineage of Chinese Communists [6].
  10. Research on strengthening education to forge a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation.

IV. Methods of Participation Experts and scholars are requested to write papers centered on the conference theme and topics. The submission deadline is April 25, 2025. Specific requirements for papers are as follows: (1) Papers should focus on the conference theme and main topics, with a word count of over 8,000 words. (2) Annotations must be standardized and citations accurate; the layout format should refer to the journal Marxism Studies (Makesizhuyi Yanjiu). (3) Please attach an author profile (name, gender, workplace, professional title, and administrative position) and detailed contact information (phone number, mailing address, and email).

Papers should be sent in Word document format to the conference email: fsdmyxkb@163.com. The file name should be "Affiliation + Name + Paper Title." After the submission deadline, the conference committee will organize an expert review of the submitted papers and issue formal invitation letters to those whose papers are selected. Selected participants are requested to send their conference reply slips to the conference email on time, with the file name "Reply + Affiliation + Name."

V. Conference Expenses This forum does not charge a registration fee. Meals and accommodation will be arranged uniformly during the conference. Round-trip transportation and accommodation expenses are to be borne by the participants themselves.
