2026 Postdoctoral Recruitment Announcement of the Academy of Marxism
I. Recruitment Criteria
- Applicants must hold the nationality of the People's Republic of China (including residents of Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan), uphold the Constitution of the People’s Republic of China, abide by national laws and regulations, possess good ideological and moral character, adhere to the correct political direction, academic orientation, and value orientation [1], and practice integrity and self-discipline.
- Applicants must possess a high academic level, prominent potential for scientific research, and professional achievements, with no record of research misconduct.
- Applicants must be born on or after January 1, 1990.
- Applicants must hold a doctoral degree or satisfy the basic requirements for a doctoral dissertation defense (providing a certificate of approval for the conferral of a doctoral degree issued by the degree administration or a defense resolution, etc.). The graduating institution must be a "Double First-Class" [2] construction university or a key research institute such as the Central Party School, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), or the Chinese Academy of Sciences (including graduates of overseas universities ranked in the top 200 globally in overall or subject rankings).
- During their doctoral studies, applicants should have published at least two academic papers in core journals [3] as the sole author or first author; for those without published papers, their doctoral dissertation must have been rated as "Excellent." The scope of core journals refers to the Overview of Core Chinese Journals, the Chinese Social Sciences Citation Index (CSSCI), and the Chinese Humanities and Social Sciences Journal Evaluation Report.
- Individuals already selected for the Postdoctoral Innovative Talent Support Program (BX Plan), the Hong Kong Scholars Program (including Bay Area projects), the Macao Young Scholars Program (including Bay Area projects), the Sino-German Postdoctoral Exchange Program, and other various postdoctoral introduction or dispatch programs (excluding postdoctoral overseas academic exchange programs) are ineligible to apply. Those who obtained their doctoral degrees abroad should, in principle, apply for postdoctoral introduction funding programs and cannot apply for this program simultaneously during the project execution period.
- Applicants may not apply for a postdoctoral position in the same first-level discipline [4] of the mobile station within the unit that awarded their doctoral degree; they may not apply for a postdoctoral position at the specific research institute where they earned their doctorate; and they may not apply to have their doctoral supervisor continue serving as their postdoctoral cooperating mentor.
- Postdoctoral fellows must engage in research work full-time on a secondment basis during their tenure at the station; in-service postdoctoral fellows will not be recruited. The tenure at the station is generally two years.

IV. Funding Treatments and Support Measures Postdoctoral Routine Expenses: For State-funded Postdoctoral Fellows in Categories B and C, covering salary, bonuses, living subsidies, and social insurance premiums during their tenure: Category B: 180,000 RMB/year; Category C: 120,000 RMB/year. The funding period is two years. Scientific Research Expenses: Through the CASS Postdoctoral Innovative Research Project, matching funds for research projects during the stay at the station will not be lower than the standards for State-funded Postdoctoral Categories B and C. Postdoctoral Apartments: Rental apartments will be provided for eligible postdoctoral fellows. Postdoctoral Fund Projects: During their tenure, postdoctoral fellows may apply for the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, with special grants of 150,000 RMB and general grants of 50,000 RMB.
V. Recruitment Procedures and Submission of Materials (I) Recruitment Procedures
- Applicants submit application materials to the designated email address during the recruitment announcement period.
- Our Institute will establish an expert review group to assess the applicant's comprehensive quality, academic level, and research capability through interviews, defenses, and other formats.
- Those who pass the appraisal will be recommended to the National Postdoctoral Management Committee for application selection.
- The National Postdoctoral Management Committee implements classified and graded funding according to the principles of "individual application, unit recommendation, expert appraisal, and selection of the best for funding."
- Within three months of being selected for the "State-funded Postdoctoral" program, the prospective personnel shall complete the procedures for entering the station.
(II) Materials to be Submitted by Applicants (Electronic versions are sufficient)
- "State-funded Postdoctoral Researcher Program (Categories B and C) Application Form" (see attachment).
- Scanned copies of the doctoral graduation certificate and doctoral degree certificate, or the doctoral dissertation defense resolution and a certificate from the degree office.
- Two representative published academic works (electronic version).
- Scanned copies of the ID card and Hukou [5] (household registration) book or card.
Applicants should send the electronic versions of the above materials in a package to the email address: rsc_myy@cass.org.cn before April 20, 2026, with the subject line: "State-funded Postdoctoral Application (Name)." After our unit's appraisal is complete, the office of this station will be responsible for the unified destruction and deletion of all applicants' materials.
(III) Recruitment Schedule
- From the date of the announcement until April 20, applicants submit materials.
- Before April 30, our Institute's Postdoctoral Mobile Station will organize an expert review group for appraisal, determine the recommended candidates, and organize the candidates to conduct online system applications.
