Call for Papers: Academic Symposium on "Improving the Level of Social Etiquette and Civility and Building a Socialist Cultural Power"
In order to thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee [1], and to focus on the development goal of "significantly improving the level of social civility" during the 15th Five-Year Plan period [2], this symposium seeks to provide theoretical support for further stimulating the cultural innovation and creativity of the whole nation, prospering and developing socialist culture, and promoting the building of a socialist cultural powerhouse at a new historical starting point. The National Research Center for State Cultural Security and Ideology of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) and Hainan Normal University will jointly host the academic symposium "Improving the Level of Social Civility and Building a Socialist Cultural Powerhouse," scheduled to be held on October 24, 2026, in Haikou, Hainan Province. We are now soliciting papers from colleagues in the national academic community and welcome your participation through paper submissions.

II. Forum Time and Location Forum Time: October 23 to 25, 2026. Registration is on October 23 (Friday), the sessions are on October 24 (Saturday), and departure is on October 25 (Sunday). Forum Location: Hainan Normal University, Haikou, Hainan Province.

IV. Manuscript Requirements This forum adopts a "participation via paper submission" format. We sincerely invite researchers, teaching staff, and postgraduate students from national research institutions, universities, Party schools [4], and other units to actively submit manuscripts. Deadline: October 7, 2026. Manuscript Requirements:
- Submissions must maintain a correct political stance, feature a clear theme and rigorous logic, and combine historical perspective with theoretical analysis [5]. They should demonstrate academic rigor and innovation, possessing high theoretical and practical value.
- Papers must be original, unpublished works, generally between 8,000 and 12,000 words. Footnotes should be used; please follow the publication format of Marxist Studies (Makesizhuyi yanjiu). The main text should be preceded by an abstract (approximately 300 words), keywords (3–5), a brief author biography, and detailed contact information.

This forum does not charge a conference fee. Transportation and accommodation expenses during the meeting are to be borne by the participants. After selection by the expert review committee, the organizing committee will send meeting invitation letters to selected authors before October 15. The conference will select outstanding papers to be recommended for publication in Marxist Studies and World Socialism Studies.
