Publication of the "Chinese and Foreign Hot Topics Debate" Book Series

The Hot Topics of Contention at Home and Abroad (Zhōngwài rèdiǎn lùnzhēng) book series, edited by Professor Cheng Enfu—Member of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) [1] and Director of the Institute of Marxism Studies—has been published by the China Social Sciences Press in March 2013. The series includes: The Debate over the China Model (edited by Li Jianguo), The Debate over Income Distribution (edited by Yang Jing), The Debate over Foreign Capital Control (edited by Wang Jiafei), The Debate over the Western Crisis (edited by Chen Renjiang), The Debate over the State Advancing and the Private Sector Retreating [2] (edited by Chen Qiugui), The Debate over the Disintegration of the Soviet Union (edited by Chen Airu), and The Debate over "Occupy Wall Street" (edited by Zhu Jidong).

Focusing on theoretical and practical hot topics of domestic and international concern to the public, this series selects ten fields for exploration: the China model, income distribution, foreign capital control, the Western crisis, classes and strata, diplomatic strategy, the state advancing and the private sector retreating, the disintegration of the Soviet Union, social trends of thought, and "Occupy Wall Street." Following the differing opinions within these debates, the series compiles articles with clear viewpoints, detailed content, and accessible language. This approach aims to help readers see through the phenomena to the essence [3], allowing them to make their own judgments and find their own answers regarding major domestic and international issues. Integrating cutting-edge scholarship, authority, and information, this series holds significant reference value and is suitable for a wide range of readers, including youth, university faculty and students, and civil servants.
