Yuan Xiuli: New Book Promotion for "Loyalty—The Excellent Character of Chinese Communists"

At present, the entire Party is carrying out education on Party discipline. Within this study of Party discipline, Communist Party members must ensure they learn the discipline, know the discipline, understand the discipline, and abide by the discipline, consistently remaining loyal, clean, and responsible. Absolute loyalty to the Party is the fundamental political requirement and the most important political discipline. The 500-year history of the development of socialism, along with the great journey of revolution, reform, and construction undertaken by the Communist Party of China (CPC) over more than 100 years, has forged the excellent character of Communists. The loyalty of vanguard models [1] fills the space between heaven and earth; name after illustrious name reflects a magnificent and extraordinary journey, sketching out a spiritual map of loyalty to the Party.

The book Loyalty: The Excellent Character of Chinese Communists reviews and elucidates loyalty from the perspective of the great journey of Marx, Engels, Lenin, and other proletarian revolutionaries and activists in their loyal dedication to the cause of the liberation of the proletariat and all humanity, as well as the century-long history of struggle by Chinese Communists. It expands upon the rich connotations of loyalty. In the New Era, the CPC has endowed "loyalty" with even richer meanings. Consistently being loyal to the Party, loyal to the people, and loyal to Marxism are three highly unified aspects that together constitute the profound internal substance of the Chinese Communists' concept of loyalty in the New Era. Loyalty is the excellent character of Chinese Communists. Throughout Party history, Chinese Communists have written a record of loyalty; they tempered this loyalty during the construction of New China, demonstrated it during Reform and Opening-up, and manifested it within the history of the development of socialism. This book elucidates the vital significance of loyalty to the Party. Forging a firm character of loyalty is conducive to tamping down and consolidating the Party’s governing foundation; loyalty is the endogenous driving force for Party members and cadres to forge ahead; loyalty is an important guarantee for the Party to prevent and resolve various political risks; and loyalty is a key factor in creating a clean and upright political ecosystem. Though the enemy's pass is like iron [2], in the New Era, Communist Party members must continue to carry forward and cultivate the character of loyalty formed during the Party's century of struggle, take up the relay baton of the times, and continue to charge forward to write the magnificent chapters of the New Era.
