↩ [1] 关于加强宗教研究的批示 (Guānyú jiāqiáng zōngjiào yánjiū de pīshì): Refers to a December 1963 directive by Mao Zedong noting that research on the world's three major religions was lacking. This led to the establishment of the Institute of World Religions under the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
