↩ [1] 无神论宣传 (wúshénlùn xuānchuán): In the Chinese Marxist context, "propaganda" (xuānchuán) is a neutral term referring to the systematic dissemination of information, ideology, or doctrine to the public, similar to "outreach" or "public communication," rather than the pejorative Western sense.

↩ [2] 教堂 2.0 世代 (jiàotáng 2.0 shìdài): A reference to a new generation of religious practitioners, often influenced by digital technology, social media, and modernized organizational forms, posing new challenges to traditional secular oversight.

↩ [3] 信仰安全 (xìnyǎng ānquán): A component of "national security" in Chinese discourse, referring to the protection of the ideological landscape from foreign religious infiltration or "Westernization" that might undermine the socialist belief system.

↩ [4] 封建迷信 (fēngjiàn míxìn): "Feudal superstition" refers to traditional folk beliefs (divination, fortune-telling, feng shui) that the CPC distinguishes from organized religion. ↩ [5] 政治底线 (zhèngzhì dǐxiàn): "Political bottom line" refers to the non-negotiable principles of Party membership. Since the CPC is founded on dialectical materialism, any profession of religious faith by a member is considered a violation of the Party Constitution and its ideological purity.

↩ [6] 邪教 (xiéjiào): Often translated as "evil cults" or "heterodox teachings." In Chinese law and political discourse, this category is distinct from recognized "religions." It refers to organizations that claim a religious mantle but are deemed harmful to social stability, public safety, or health.
