↩ [1] 颜色革命 (yánsè gémìng): "Color Revolutions" refers to movements that led to the overthrow of governments in the former Soviet Union and the Middle East during the early 21st century. In Chinese political discourse, these are viewed as Western-backed attempts at subversion and "peaceful evolution" aimed at undermining socialist or non-Western states.

↩ [2] 共产党员不信仰宗教 (gòngchǎndǎngyuán bù xìnyǎng zōngjiào): A fundamental principle of CPC membership. While the Chinese Constitution guarantees "freedom of religious belief" for ordinary citizens, CPC members are required to be Marxist atheists and are strictly prohibited from joining religions or participating in religious activities, as this is seen as a violation of the party’s ideological purity and the principle of dialectical materialism.

↩ [3] 康有为 (Kāng Yǒuwéi, 1858–1927): A prominent intellectual and reformer of the late Qing Dynasty. He attempted to recast Confucianism as a national religion (孔教, Kǒngjiào) modeled after state churches in the West to modernize China's national spirit while remaining rooted in tradition.

In the context of cult psychology (邪教问题, xiéjiào wèntí), this refers to the psychological defense mechanism or social perception that cult involvement only happens to "others" or those with specific character flaws, rather than being a vulnerability shared by the general public. In China, the term xiéjiào (often translated as "evil cults" or "heterodox teachings") carries heavy legal and political weight, referring to banned organizations like Falun Gong.
