↩ [1] 陕甘宁边区 (Shǎn-Gān-Níng Biānqū): The Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Region was a revolutionary base area controlled by the CPC from the mid-1930s to the late 1940s. Its capital, Yan'an, served as the headquarters of the Chinese communist movement during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression (1937–1945).

↩ [2] 鲁迅 (Lǔ Xùn, 1881–1936): The pen name of Zhou Shuren, widely considered the greatest modern Chinese writer. His work is characterized by profound cultural critique and is highly esteemed in Marxist literary circles for its dissection of "feudal" consciousness.
