Submission Guidelines

Studies on Marxism (马克思主义研究) is an academic journal under the supervision of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) and hosted by the Institute of Marxism Studies. We warmly welcome submissions or recommendations of excellent papers from scholars in related fields both at home and abroad, as well as from individuals from all walks of life who follow and care about theoretical research in Marxism. To better promote the standardization of our editorial and publishing work, this journal has adjusted and revised its submission requirements starting from 2018. We kindly ask contributing authors to take note of the following:

First, this journal utilizes an online platform for all submissions and no longer accepts hard-copy manuscripts. The steps for submitting via the manuscript processing platform are as follows: 1. Log in to the Studies on Marxism manuscript processing platform at https://mkszyyj.ajcass.com/. Click "Online Submission," then "Author Login" (registration is required for first-time users), "Author Platform," "I Want to Submit," and "Set Personal Information" (only for the first submission). 2. After submitting, authors can log in to the website to check the progress of the review process. By clicking "Manuscript Inquiry," you can stay informed about the status of your manuscript in a timely manner.

Second, submitted articles should be between 10,000 and 15,000 words. Authors must provide an abstract of 200–300 words, 3–6 keywords, and 5–8 references.

Third, please be sure to carefully verify the literature used in the paper to ensure there are no errors (see this journal’s style guide for details). For the works of classic Marxist writers, please use the latest editions. For references, please use physical print materials (books, newspapers, periodicals, etc.) as much as possible.

This journal employs a three-stage anonymous review system consisting of a preliminary review, expert peer review, and final review. The review cycle is approximately three months.

Special Statement: This journal does not charge any fees. Once a manuscript is accepted, sample copies will be mailed and a contribution fee [1] will be paid. If you encounter any issues related to your manuscript, please contact the editorial department directly at 010-85195699 (to the attention of Teacher Hao).

We welcome active submissions from all authors. Thank you!
