Liu Fengyi: In-depth Understanding and Grasp of High-quality Development Within the System of Economic Laws

[Abstract] Identifying and grasping the characteristics and trends of a society’s economic activities within a system of economic laws is a scientific methodology of Marxist political economy. According to the conceptual methods of Marxist political economy regarding the system of economic laws, whether the economic activities of a given society constitute high-quality development can be judged from three levels: the dialectical relationship between the productive forces and the relations of production, the smooth circulation of the economic organism, and the relationship between supply and demand within a market economy. Xi Jinping’s important expositions on high-quality development embody the creative application and innovative development of Marxist political economic thought regarding the system of economic laws, constituting an important component of Xi Jinping Economic Thought. Proceeding from the system of economic laws that high-quality development must follow, we must properly grasp the directional issues of advancing Chinese-path modernization through high-quality development.
