Our Reporter: Focus on Deepening Patriotism Education for University Students in the New Era – An Interview with Professor Huang Rongsheng, Director of the Center for Marxist Theory Research at Southwest University

Huang Rongsheng, female, born in 1955 in Chengdu, Sichuan, is a professor and doctoral supervisor. She is the former Party Committee Secretary of Southwest University and the current Director of the Southwest University Center for Marxist Theoretical Research. She serves as a member and convener of the 7th and 8th Marxist Theory Discipline Review Groups of the State Council Academic Degrees Committee [1], a judge for the National Social Science Fund of China and the National Publication Foundation, Vice Chairperson of the Ministry of Education’s Steering Committee for Teaching Marxist Theory Majors in Higher Education Institutions, and a member of the Ministry of Education’s Advisory Committee for Teaching Ideological and Political Theory Courses in Universities. She formerly served as Vice Chairperson and Deputy Director of the Academic Committee of the Ideological and Political Education Branch of the China Association of Higher Education.

Professor Huang has presided over more than 40 national and provincial-level research projects, including major projects of the National Social Science Fund, major projects of the Research Center for the Theoretical System of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics, major bidding projects for Philosophy and Social Science Research of the Ministry of Education, and major commissioned social science projects for Chongqing Municipality. She has published more than 300 theoretical articles in major newspapers and journals, and more than 50 books with national-level publishing houses.
