Liu Jianhui, born in 1958 in Changyi, Shandong Province, is a professor and doctoral supervisor at the Party School of the CPC Central Committee (National Academy of Governance). He previously served as the Director of the Department of CPC History Teaching and Research, Director of the Academic Affairs Department, and Deputy Dean of Education at the Central Party School. He is a Chief Expert of the Central "Project to Study and Build Marxist Theory" [1], an expert on the "Party History and Party Building" disciplinary review panel for the National Social Science Fund of China, and an inductee into the national "Four Batches" of talent programs [2] within the propaganda and cultural system. Furthermore, he is a leading talent in the "Ten Thousand Talents Program" (National High-Level Talent Special Support Program) and a recipient of a special government allowance from the State Council.
Professor Liu has long been engaged in teaching and research concerning the history of the Communist Party of China, the history of the CPC’s governance, and the history of the People's Republic of China. He is the author of specialized works such as The History of CPC Party Building and The History of the People's Republic of China. He has served as chief editor for titles including The Course of the CPC’s Governance, Draft History of the CPC, The History and Experience of the CPC, and Tempered into Steel: Historical Experience of the CPC in Dealing with Major Difficulties and Risks. He has published numerous papers in journals and newspapers such as People's Daily, Guangming Daily, Qiushi, 中共党史研究 (CCP History Studies), 党的文献 (Party Documents), and 当代中国史研究 (Contemporary China History Studies). The scientific research achievements he participated in have received the national "Five-One Project" Award [3], the "China Book Award," and the "Excellent Textbook Award," among others.
