Journal Reporter: The Practical Wisdom Behind the Success of Chinese Modernization

Dai Mucai, male, born in 1965 in Ji'an, Jiangxi Province, holds a Doctorate in Philosophy. He currently serves as a professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Marxism, Tsinghua University, and as a researcher at the Tsinghua University Institute for Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. He concurrently serves as Vice President of the China Ethics Association. He previously held positions including Deputy Director of the Policy Research Institute of the Central Propaganda Department [1], Editor-in-Chief of Research on Ideological and Political Work [2], and Deputy Director of the Public Opinion Research Center of the Central Propaganda Department. On February 24, 2014, he delivered a lecture to the 13th collective study session of the Political Bureau of the 18th CPC Central Committee on the special topic of "Cultivating and Promoting Socialist Core Values and Carrying Forward Traditional Chinese Virtues." His research primarily focuses on socialist core values, the theory and practice of Chinese-path modernization, and political ethics. He has published over one hundred papers in journals and newspapers such as Qiushi, Social Sciences in China, Philosophical Research, Studies on Marxism, Marxism & Reality, the People's Daily, and the Guangming Daily, and has authored over ten books. His work The Soul of Strengthening the Nation [3] was selected as a featured publication for the 18th National Congress of the CPC, won the 4th Chinese Government Award for Publishing and the 5th China Excellent Publication Award, and was selected as one of the "100 Excellent Books of 2014." His book Why China’s Path of Socialism is Successful was selected as a key book for the 65th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and has been published in nine languages, including Chinese, English, French, Russian, Spanish, Arabic, Persian, Turkish, and Vietnamese. The CPC's Way of Governing the Country won the second prize of the 8th Higher Education Scientific Research Outstanding Achievement Award and was selected for the "Classic China" and "Silk Road Book Program" [4] international publishing projects, appearing in Chinese, English, French, Spanish, and Nepali. His forthcoming work, Chinese-path Modernization: Which Road to Take?, is set to be published in Chinese, English, French, Spanish, German, Japanese, Russian, Arabic, and Portuguese.
