A concept introduced by Xi Jinping in 2023, referring to a shift in the "productive forces" (a core Marxist category) driven by revolutionary technological breakthroughs, innovative allocation of production factors, and deep industrial transformation. It emphasizes "total factor productivity" and high-tech, high-efficiency, high-quality growth as opposed to traditional labor-intensive or resource-heavy industry.

↩ [2] 中华民族现代文明 (zhōnghuá mínzú xiàndài wénmíng): Modern civilization of the Chinese nation. A theoretical formulation emphasizing that Chinese-path modernization is not a mere replication of Western developmental models but a new form of civilization that integrates Marxist theory with the specific realities of China and the best of traditional Chinese culture (the "Two Combinations").
