Introduction to the Quarterly English Journal World Review of Political Economy World Review of Political Economy (ISSN: 2042-891X) is a peer-reviewed English quarterly journal co-sponsored by the CASS Institute of Marxism Studies and the World Association for Political Economy (WAPE). It is published and distributed globally by the renowned British leftist publisher Pluto Press and is indexed in world-leading databases such as JSTOR and EBSCO. Renowned economists Professor Cheng Enfu (China), Professor David Kotz (USA), Professor Hiroshi Ohnishi (Japan), and Professor Jean-Claude Delaunay (France) serve as Editor-in-Chief and Co-Editors. The current Editorial Board consists of 23 economists from 17 countries. The journal is indexed by Scopus and the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) of the Web of Science.
The journal primarily publishes research articles on the theory and policy of Marxist political economy, academic debates, book news, academic trends, and profiles of Marxist economists. It aims to unite Marxist economists from across the globe to apply Marxist economics to analyze and solve the socio-economic problems facing contemporary humanity, striving to expand the influence of modern Marxist economics in academic activities, public policy discussions, and other fields.
The English quarterly World Review of Political Economy is published in 32mo format. Since 2010, it has been published annually in Spring (March), Summer (June), Autumn (September), and Winter (December). Its main sections include Articles, Communications (Debates), Book Reviews, Reports, and People/Biographies. The journal employs a double-blind peer-review system. Produced with high-quality printing and binding, and possessing significant value for theoretical reference and preservation, it is essential reading for individuals in all circles researching theoretical economics and the development of the world economy.
