Appendix: Introduction to WRPE
The World Review of Political Economy (WRPE) is a quarterly, peer-reviewed academic journal published by Pluto Journals and sponsored by the Institute of Marxism Studies [1] of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS). It serves as the official organ of the World Association for Political Economy. This groundbreaking project has pioneered a collaborative model between Chinese academia and Western progressive publishers to establish a periodical for Marxist political economy. The journal functions as an essential forum for dialogue, cooperation, debate, and the dissemination of cutting-edge research among leading scholars in China, the English-speaking world, and the international community. WRPE has been indexed in the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) since December 2015, in Scopus since June 2018, and in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) since March 2023.
