Plaque-awarding Ceremony for the Sichuan Guang'an Cooperative Research Base of the Academy of Marxism, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and the Theoretical Seminar on "Summarizing the Party's Centennial History and Opening Up a New Future" Held at Xiaoping Cadre College
To deeply study and implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s "July 1" Keynote Speech [1], gain a profound understanding of the great achievements and historical experience gained over the century since the Party’s founding, deeply commemorate the historical contributions of Comrade Deng小平, and facilitate in-depth exchanges on the use of "red culture" [2] for Party spirit education and the functioning of various research bases, as well as to further leverage external expertise to improve the teaching, research, and policy consultation levels of the Xiaoping Cadre College [3], the Plaque-Awarding Ceremony for the Sichuan Guang'an Collaborative Research Base of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) Institute of Marxism Studies and the "Summarizing the Party’s Centenary History, Opening a Brand New Future" Theoretical Seminar were held at the Xiaoping Cadre College on September 26. Xin Xiangyang, Secretary of the Party Committee of the CASS Institute of Marxism Studies, and Hong Li, Member of the Standing Committee and Director of the Publicity Department of the CPC Guang’an Municipal Committee, attended the meeting.
On behalf of the Guang’an Municipal Party Committee, Hong Li expressed warm congratulations on the holding of this ceremony, extended a sincere welcome to the leaders and guests attending the theoretical seminar, and expressed heartfelt gratitude to the CASS Institute of Marxism Studies for its long-standing care and support for Guang’an. Hong Li also accepted the plaque for the Sichuan Guang’an Collaborative Research Base from Secretary Xin Xiangyang on behalf of the College. The meeting subsequently held an award ceremony for the winning papers of the "Xiaoping Cadre College Cup" essay competition titled "Summarizing the Party’s Centenary History, Opening a Brand New Future."
Xin Xiangyang, Secretary of the Party Committee of the CASS Institute of Marxism Studies, delivered a special report in conjunction with the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s "July 1" Keynote Speech. Starting from the distinct characteristics of the "July 1" speech and incorporating the course of our country’s development, Xin provided a profound interpretation of the "Four Great Achievements" [4] attained by the Party in uniting and leading the people. He captured the incomparable self-confidence and the spirit of "great struggle" [5] of the Chinese Communists in seeking happiness for the Chinese people and rejuvenation for the Chinese nation, highlighting the importance of General Secretary Xi Jinping's "July 1" speech. Building on this, using his solid theoretical foundation, he deeply elucidated the major theoretical innovations within the speech. The report possessed both high-level political standing and historical thickness and theoretical depth, allowing everyone to savor a "spiritual feast" replete with "color, aroma, taste, form, meaning, and nourishment."
On the afternoon of that day, the CASS Institute of Marxism Studies also held the 2021 Joint Meeting of National Conditions Research Bases. Representatives from various bases exchanged speeches focusing on their study of the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s "July 1" Keynote Speech, the practical implementation of Party history study and education activities, and the performance of their respective bases' roles. Five representative authors of winning papers from the "Xiaoping Cadre College Cup" essay competition shared and exchanged the contents of their papers.
Over 80 people attended the event, including relevant experts and scholars from the CASS Institute of Marxism Studies, leaders and representatives from the Institute’s national conditions research bases, representative authors of papers selected for the theoretical seminar, representatives from relevant municipal departments, Party schools of various county (city/district) committees, members of the leadership team of Xiaoping Cadre College, heads of departments (centers), and teachers of the College.
