Chinese Academy of Social Sciences Holds Report Meeting on Progress of Rectification for Central Inspection Findings
According to the deployment of the Party Leadership Group of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), a report meeting was convened on July 14 regarding the progress of specific working groups in implementing rectification tasks following the Central Inspection [1]. The meeting heard reports from relevant responsible departments and CASS-affiliated units tasked with rectification, analyzed existing problems, and set forth requirements for the next stage of rectification work. Commissioned by Gao Xiang, President of CASS and Secretary of the Party Leadership Group, the meeting was presided over by Peng Jinhui, Deputy President, Deputy Secretary of the Party Leadership Group, and head of a specific working group, who also delivered a speech. Hang Yuanxiang, member of the Party Leadership Group and leader of the Discipline Inspection and Supervision Group of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) and the National Commission of Supervision (NCS) [2] stationed at CASS, who also serves as a head of a specific working group, attended and spoke at the meeting.
The meeting pointed out that implementing the requirements for Central Inspection rectification is the primary political task for CASS at present and for a period to come. The Central Inspection represents the authority of the Party Central Committee, and the implementation of its rectification tasks serves as a test of the quality of the "two upholds." The meeting emphasized that all units must incorporate the study and implementation of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speeches on inspection work throughout the entire process, and deeply recognize the extreme importance and necessity of inspection rectification. It is necessary to further elevate awareness, further tighten the consolidation of responsibility, and further increase the intensity of efforts. Taking the promotion of problem-solving as the key point of inspection rectification work, units must ensure that the pressure of responsibility is transmitted through every level [3], ensuring that problem rectification achieves full coverage, simultaneous advancement, and zero omissions.
The meeting required that, in accordance with the deployment of the Academy’s Party Leadership Group, units must focus on strengthening integration and fusion, focus on grasping the list of key issues for rectification, focus on exerting the role of functional supervision, and focus on improving the quality and effectiveness of rectification, in order to resolutely and successfully complete the rectification tasks.
Responsible comrades from the stationed Discipline Inspection and Supervision Group, relevant functional departments of the CASS administration, and relevant CASS-affiliated units attended the meeting.
