The 18th Symposium of the Chinese Association for Research on Foreign Economic Theories and the "Foreign Economic Theories and the China Model" Forum Held at Yunnan University of Finance and Economics

The "18th Academic Symposium of the Chinese Society for the History of Foreign Economic Theories and the 'Foreign Economic Theories and the Chinese Model' Forum" was held at Yunnan University of Finance and Economics from September 24 to 25, 2010. Co-hosted by the Chinese Society for the History of Foreign Economic Theories and Yunnan University of Finance and Economics, the event was attended by over 120 experts and scholars from universities and research institutes across the country, including Cheng Enfu, Ding Bing, Li Chong, Yan Pengfei, Yin Bocheng, Wang Zhiwei, Yu Wenlie, Hu Leming, and Shen Yue. Cheng Enfu, a Member of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) ^[1], Director of the Institute of Marxism Studies, and President of the Chinese Society for the History of Foreign Economic Theories, delivered a speech on the major significance of the symposium's theme. Special keynote speeches were delivered by the Society's General Consultant, Professor Ding Bing of the Capital University of Economics and Business, and other scholars. Taking adherence to Marxism as its guidance, the conference engaged in vigorous discussions centered on the theme of "Foreign Economic Theories and the Chinese Model."
