Call for Papers: The 24th Annual Academic Conference of the Chinese Association for the History of Foreign Economic Theories

To persist in and develop Marxist economics, and to conduct in-depth research and correctly draw lessons from foreign economic theories, the Chinese Society for the History of Foreign Economic Theories and Quanzhou Normal University will jointly host the academic symposium "Foreign Economic Theories and Contemporary Chinese and Foreign Economies," which also serves as the 24th Annual Conference of the Chinese Society for the History of Foreign Economic Theories. The conference will be organized by Quanzhou Normal University and is scheduled to be held in early November 2016 in Quanzhou, Fujian Province.

Centering on the conference theme, the meeting will focus on the following topics:

  1. Comparative research between Marxist economics and Western economics.
  2. Research on the history of foreign economic thought.
  3. Research on frontier issues in Western economics.
  4. Supply-side structural reform and Chinese economic development.
  5. The "Belt and Road" [1] and global economic development.
  6. Comparative research on economic development philosophies and economic development strategies.

Submissions are now invited from economics colleagues nationwide on the above topics. Papers are required to take Marxist economics as their guide, demonstrate academic innovation, and follow standard writing norms. Following a peer-review process, formal invitation letters will be sent to the authors of selected papers. Outstanding papers will be recommended for publication in important journals such as Marxist Studies (Makesizhuyi Yanjiu), Economic Perspectives (Jingjixue Dongtai), Contemporary Economic Research (Dangdai Jingji Yanjiu), and Haipai Economics (Haipai Jingjixue; quarterly) [2]. Selected papers will be compiled into a proceedings volume to be published by the Social Sciences Academic Press.
