Call for Papers: The 26th Annual Academic Conference of the Chinese Association for the History of Foreign Economic Theories
To persist in and develop Marxist economics, and to deeply study and correctly draw lessons from foreign economic theories, the Chinese Society for the Study of Foreign Economic Theories and Beijing Technology and Business University will jointly host the symposium "Foreign Economic Theories and the Study of Socialist Economic Thought with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era," which concurrently serves as the 26th Annual Conference of the Chinese Society for the Study of Foreign Economic Theories. The conference is scheduled to be held in Beijing in early November 2018.
Centering on the theme of the conference, discussions will focus on the following topics:
- Using Chinese and foreign Marxist economics to lead [1] research on Western economics;
- Research on the latest theoretical developments in contemporary Western economic doctrines;
- Research on the development and evolution of foreign economic thought;
- China’s new pattern of comprehensive opening up [2] and economic globalization in the New Era;
- The transformation of quality, efficiency, and growth drivers [3] in China's economic development during the New Era;
- Establishing a modernized economic system and making state-owned enterprises and state-owned assets stronger, better, and larger [4] in the New Era;
- The new technological revolution in relation to active employment and income distribution.
We are now soliciting papers on the above topics from economics colleagues across the country. Papers are required to take Marxist economics as their guide, demonstrate academic innovation, and follow standardized academic writing conventions. Following a review process, formal invitation letters will be sent to the authors of selected papers. Outstanding papers will be recommended for publication in important journals such as Marxism Studies (Makesizhuyi Yanjiu), Economic Perspectives (Jingjixue Dongtai), Contemporary Economic Research (Dangdai Jingji Yanjiu), and The Shanghai School of Economics (Haipai Jingjixue, quarterly). Selected papers will be compiled into a collection and published by China Economic Publishing House.
Submissions must include an abstract of approximately 800 characters.
