Call for Papers: The 27th Annual Academic Conference of the Chinese Association for Research on Foreign Economic Theories

In order to uphold and develop Marxist economics [1], and to conduct in-depth research and correctly draw lessons from foreign economic theories, the Chinese Society for the Study of Foreign Economic Theories (中华外国经济学说研究会) and Anhui University of Technology will jointly host the 27th Annual Academic Conference of the Chinese Society for the Study of Foreign Economic Theories. The conference is scheduled to be held in early November 2019 in Ma’anshan City.

This conference will focus on the following research topics:

  1. Using Marxist economics to guide the study of Western economics.
  2. Research on the frontier theories of contemporary Western economic doctrines.
  3. Research on the development and evolution of foreign economic thought.
  4. Research on the economic development and economic theoretical innovation of the People’s Republic of China over the past 70 years.
  5. Research on forming a strong domestic market and continuously unleashing the potential of internal demand [2].
  6. Research on all-around opening-up [3] and fostering new advantages in international economic cooperation and competition.
  7. Research on the theoretical issues regarding the establishment of a modernized economic system.
  8. Research on the industrial transformation and upgrading of traditional industrial cities in China and abroad.

We are now soliciting papers on the above topics from colleagues nationwide. Papers are required to take Marxist economics as their guide, demonstrate academic innovation, and adhere to scholarly writing standards. Following a review process, we will issue formal invitation letters to the authors of selected papers. Outstanding papers will be recommended for publication in important journals such as Marxian Studies (《马克思主义研究》), Economic Perspectives (《经济学动态》), Contemporary Economic Research (《当代经济研究》), and Crabapple-Style Economics [4] (《海派经济学》). Selected papers will be compiled into a collection and published by China Economic Publishing House. The conference will select excellent papers and present the "Award for Outstanding Paper of the 27th Annual Academic Conference of the Chinese Society for the Study of Foreign Economic Theories."

Submissions must include an abstract of approximately 800 characters.
