He stated that it is of great significance to hold this forum as the entire Party and people of all ethnic groups nationwide strive for excellent achievements to welcome the 73rd anniversary of the founding of New China and the 20th National Congress of the CPC. He noted that consistently upholding Marxism and resolutely advancing the Sinicization of Marxism constitutes a unified practical process. While Marxism has profoundly transformed China, the vivid and rich practice of contemporary China is also advancing the Sinicization and modernization of Marxism. Adhering to the principle of upholding the fundamentals and breaking new ground is an inevitable choice for Marxism to continuously demonstrate the power of truth. The century of glory achieved by the people under the leadership of the Communist Party of China fully demonstrates the formidable power inherent in the Sinicization of Marxism.

Professor Sun Lei delivered a speech on behalf of Northeastern University, expressing warm congratulations on the successful convening of the forum and sincere gratitude to the participating scholars and guests. He stated that on the eve of the 20th National Congress of the CPC, it is of extraordinary significance to further study, research, and implement the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee [2], and to better utilize historical materialism to study and interpret the theoretical and practical issues of contemporary China and the world. Northeastern University has practiced the noble values of a university by moving in the same direction and resonating at the same frequency with national development and ethnic rejuvenation. The School of Marxism at Northeastern University has become an important force in Marxist theoretical research and education in universities. Northeastern University will further leverage its advantages in philosophy and social sciences to make greater contributions to the comprehensive and all-round revitalization of Liaoning province.

Zhang Qiyuan pointed out in his speech that the Communist Party of China is a Marxist party possessing a high degree of historical consciousness. Standing at a new historical starting point, the gathering of experts and young talents at this forum to deepen the study of contemporary historical materialism fully reflects the sense of political responsibility and historical mission of all participants. He emphasized that ideological work is an extremely important task for the Party [3]. As a strong bastion on Liaoning's propaganda, ideological, and cultural front, he expressed hope that the School of Marxism at Northeastern University would use the hosting of this high-level academic forum as an opportunity to provide more abundant spiritual motivation and intellectual support for the comprehensive revitalization of Liaoning.

Shi Jian emphasized that summarizing social development experience from the perspective of historical materialism and condensing the wisdom and strength of the academic community under the context of the New Era is a major political task for the social science circles in Liaoning Province. This forum, bringing together renowned Marxist theoretical experts and young talents from across the country, is a significant academic event for Liaoning's social sciences. He hoped that the participating experts and scholars would seize this opportunity to spark intellectual exchange and produce important results, using this academic event to promote the revitalization and development of Liaoning and welcoming the successful opening of the 20th National Congress of the CPC through practical action.

The forum was divided into three segments: keynote reports, thematic reports, and thematic speeches. Professor Tian Pengying presided over the keynote reports.

Researcher Zhu Jidong delivered the closing remarks on behalf of the forum organizers. He extended sincere congratulations on the success of the forum and expressed heartfelt thanks to the experts for attending despite their busy schedules, to the comrades who worked hard for the forum's success, and to the leaders and experts who have long supported the development of the Chinese Society of Historical Materialism. He stated that the "online + offline" format greatly expanded the participation, scope, influence, and guidance of the event, representing a successful attempt to advance the modernization and popularization of Marxism. He noted that the forum possessed six major characteristics: high-reaching vision, firm stance, clear-cut distinctions between right and wrong, theoretical thoroughness, openness and inclusiveness, and the cultivation of new talent. These features reflect the strong sense of responsibility, belonging, and mission of the experts, as well as the powerful appeal and cohesion of the Society. The successful convening of this forum not only provides scientific guidance for Marxist theoretical research but also makes an important contribution to further promoting theoretical and practical innovation in Marxism. It was an academic feast of high standards, high expectations, high quality, and high level, possessing significant theoretical value and practical meaning.
