Call for Papers: Inauguration Ceremony and First Seminar of the Committee on Contemporary World Culture and Civilization of the China Society for Historical Materialism
To study and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the CPC [1], leverage the advantages and role of the China Society of Historical Materialism, consolidate the wisdom and strength of the academic community, and apply the worldview and methodology of historical materialism, we seek to strengthen research on contemporary Chinese and global culture and civilization. Our goal is to deepen exchange and mutual learning between cultures and civilizations, facilitate Chinese culture’s more effective "going global," and enhance the influence of Chinese civilization. Furthermore, we aim to better understand and grasp theoretical issues such as the compatibility [2] between fine traditional Chinese culture and the values of scientific socialism, and the creation of a new form of human civilization [3] through Chinese-path modernization. The China Society of Historical Materialism has decided to establish the Professional Committee on Contemporary World Culture and Civilization. The establishment ceremony is scheduled for June of this year, and the first symposium will be co-hosted with Beijing International Studies University and the Contemporary World journal. We sincerely welcome experts and scholars in relevant research fields to join the Professional Committee and actively participate in the Society's activities.
