Announcement on Approving the Establishment of the New Collective Economy Research Branch by the Chinese Society of Political Economy | Marxism Research Network

Following research and deliberation by the Party Committee of the Institute of Marxism Studies ^[1] at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), approval has been granted for the establishment of the New-type Collective Economy Research Branch under the China Society of Political Economy. The New-type Collective Economy Research Branch shall be a secondary branch of the China Society of Political Economy and shall operate under the leadership and professional guidance of the Party Committee of its managing institution, the Institute of Marxism Studies.

Following its establishment, the New-type Collective Economy Research Branch will adhere to the principles of the China Society of Political Economy. It will unite expert scholars nationwide engaged in the study of the collective economy ^[2] to work together toward the earnest study and implementation of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. The branch will strengthen research into major theoretical and practical issues, such as the development of the collective economy in the New Era, rural revitalization ^[3], and common prosperity. It aims to fulfill its role as a think tank in upholding the basic economic system in which public ownership remains the mainstay and in promoting the development and expansion of the collective economy.
