The Academy of Marxism Holds a Seminar on Studying and Implementing the Guiding Principles of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee

On the morning of December 8, the Institute of Marxism Studies at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) held a symposium to study and exchange insights on the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee ^[1]. Xin Xiangyang, Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice President of the Institute, attended the meeting alongside Vice Presidents Gong Yun and Yu Junxiao. All cadres and scholars from the Institute were in attendance.

The meeting began with exchange presentations by Vice President Gong Yun, titled "A Marxist Historical Document Capable of Withstanding the Test of History," and Vice President Yu Junxiao, titled "An Action Manual for Realizing the Great Rejuvenation of the Chinese Nation: Reflections on Studying the 'Resolution' ^[2]."

Subsequent presentations were delivered by: Chen Zhigang, Director of the Department of Xi Jinping New Era Chinese-Path Socialist Ideology, on "The Century of Struggle of the Communist Party of China and a New Form of Human Civilization"; Yu Bin, Director of the Department of Marxist Principles, on "A Comparison of the Three Historical Resolutions and Their Enlightenment ^[3]"; He Xinyuan, Deputy Director of the Department of the Sinicization of Marxism, on "Understanding the Fundamental Question of the Communist Party of China"; Pan Jine, Director of the Department of the International Communist Movement, on "Carrying Forward the Important Experience of the Party’s Century of Diplomatic Work to Promote the Building of a Community with a Shared Future for Humanity"; and Yu Haiqing, Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign Marxism, on "The Significant Meaning of the Historical Experience of the CPC’s Century of Struggle from the Perspective of a Comparison of Global Political Parties."

In his concluding remarks, Party Secretary and Vice President Xin Xiangyang emphasized that the Institute of Marxism Studies must give full play to its disciplinary advantages when studying the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee. On the basis of deeply studying and thoroughly grasping the spirit of the document ^[4], scholars must utilize the Marxist standpoint, viewpoint, and method to analyze problems, carry out in-depth research and interpretation, and produce a series of high-quality research results. He noted that the Institute should enhance its research capabilities through theoretical study and further promote the high-quality development of all aspects of the Institute’s work.
