The Chronological Almanac of Engels’ Thought [1] (《恩格斯思想年编》) has been compiled by extracting key documents and selecting significant theoretical perspectives from the first edition of the Collected Works of Marx and Engels [2]. The book compiles extracts from Engels' works, articles, drafts, unfinished manuscripts, documents, letters, and notes spanning the period from 1839 to 1895. In its effort to implement the principles of being scientific, accurate, concise, and practical, this almanac possesses three distinctive characteristics: 1. Comprehensive content that remains faithful to the original works; 2. A novel format with distinctive features; 3. A moderate length presented in an accessible manner.
The Chronological Almanac of Engels’ Thought strives to achieve an authentic, original presentation of Engels’ literature, providing assistance to the broad reading public for the in-depth, comprehensive, and systematic study and research of Engels’ works and thought.
